Grab Your Backpacks – It’s Time For Adventure.

My name is Clare, the founder of Heywood’s Backpack Adventures, and I have been lucky enough to have been travelling since I was young. When I decided I wanted to do a solo trip, it was safe to say my family were very jealous, but I wanted to experience being more independent and exploring places the way I wanted, sorry!

I was 25 years old when I went on my first solo backpacking trip. I spent ages researching the places I wanted to go to, the mountains I wanted to hike and the beaches I wanted to spend all day at reading/ snorkelling. It took a lot of time and effort to come up with the ‘perfect’ itinerary. Therefore, I decided to start Heywood’s Backpack Adventures to help people plan their adventures whilst keeping costs down. I also try and travel sustainably because I believe in looking after our planet and making sure it stays intact for future generations to enjoy. I am glad you’ve decided to join me on my adventures!
